An ideal tourist and cultural itinerary for architecture lovers

Architecture lovers can set out on a trail of what Liberty style has left in the Rovigo area. An itinerary that will lead you to the discovery of the historical and artistic events, given by the development of the town's upper middle class.

The tour develops from the streets of the "Rovigo Bene" (the wealthiest neighborhood of Rovigo), among the ancient paths of the medieval city wall. It starts from viale Regina Margherita and then continues towards via Fiume and viale Trieste, where you can admire fascinating and elegant liberty-style buildings and some sculptures by Virgilio Milani, an artist from Rovigo. Continuing towards Corso del Popolo, you can appreciate the transformations that the city underwent during the 20th century. The tour visits the main squares of the town, from Piazza Merlin to Piazza Garibaldi, passing through Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, the heart of Rovigo.
